Cushion for Sienna
Here is the cushion I made for my best friend's daughter's first birthday. It is a combination of embroidery and applique on linen and cotton. It worked out really well I think, I love the Michael Miller fabrics I bought on e-bay (used for letters and backing). The pattern for the embroidery came from a Japanese embroidery book vol.5. I have no idea what the name is but the ISBN is 9784529044189 . More images are on flickr too.

Finished wreath!
I know Christmas is well and truly over but here is my Christmas wreath which I made today. I'm very happy with the result, I love the linen colour felt I found in Rimini. I have a whole collection of ribbons, trims etc so it's good to make some use of them. I am quite the procrastinator before starting a project but when I do start I don't stop until I've finished!

Jamie's Placemats
I painted about 12 placemats for my 2 year old son. He doesn't really need 12 but we can just change the ones we use each time. Here are a few samples of what I did. They are simply raw cork tiles that are painted then varnished. They work well and are heat proof. You can buy them in packs at the hradware store. Very simple!!
My favourite is the cow.
